Seurasaasari

Seurasaari
Seurasaari is a place near to Helsinki's penninsula where you can find the traditional wooden houses that were tipical of old finnish construction way.

It seems to be a forgotten village in the middle of the forrest, near to see and water.

When you go walkin into this area you can breath and feel the same healthy air present in all helsinki metropolitan area, but you can also reach you feelings into a old way and traditional sense.

Wood, stones, water and sun mix and became a natural path where you can fly your ideas and imagination about a past time that probable was better and for sure harder.

There you can find some interesting things like KIRKKOVENE, boats which where used for travel from town to town on sundays just for Religious acts. Large wooden boats which were made for transport more than 100 people inside.

Kirkkovene

I've had the pleasure of walk into Saurasaari last winter with two of my friends (they are from Finland) and i really wanna share this great experience with all of you because if you have the opportunity of comming into Helsinki, you can find a nice place for rest and think into wildness just a few minutes away from city.
